Tuesday 15th September - Divisional Cup Final
Glen Celtic 2 Roscommon Lions 2 - Glen Celtic win 3-0 on penalties.
If the excitement of Saturday's Shield Cup win was intense then this match stepped that excitement up even more. In a game where both sides were evenly matched this produced four quality goals, goalmouth drama, extra time plus the dreaded penalty shootout. Roscommon took the lead after 20 minutes and Glen Celtic again had to come from behind. They did this with less than ten minutes to go when Jaro Plasek slotted home. Roscommon came back and within two minutes were ahead again and looked to have won the tie. However in the last minute of normal time Ryan McHugh popped up in the box to equalise with a well taken goal. Extra time followed and despite the fact that there were a number of chances neither side took their opportunities and the penalty shootout followed. Up stepped Colm Fallon, Michael Geary & Eddie Walsh to convert the first three Celtic penalties. Roscommon's first penalty was saved well by Cormac Haslam, their second went over the bar and Cormac saved the third to give Celtic the Cup. A great finish to the season for this team who played a total of 24 matches from start to finish and in doing so hit the net a total of 63 times. The finished fourth in the league and won two cup competitions which is a major achievement.

Saturday 12th September - Shield Cup Final
Glen Celtic 2 Skyvalley Rovers 1
In a game that could have gone either way Celtic secured the shield with a thrilling performance. Celtic started slowly and Skyvalley took the lead after 10 minutes of play. However Celtic responded well and created a number of chances with Jaro Placek and Ryan McHugh both coming close. Colm Fallon then had a free kick tipped onto the bar by the Skyvalley keeper however at half time Celtic still trailed by the one goal. In the second half Skyvalley created a number of chances but good defensive work by a solid back four of Patrick Raftery, Eddie Walsh, Stephen Glynn and captain Michael Geary coupled with alert goalkeeping by Cormac Haslam kept them at bay. Celtic started to press and equalised when Colm Fallon scored from a free kick on the right with the ball nestling in the top corner of the net. Action then went from one end of the pitch to the other until with 2 minutes to go Colm Fallon stole in again at the corner of the six yard box and with the keeper expecting the cross slotted the ball inside him to send the large crowd of fans wild. As the final whistle blew Celtic had secured the shield and there was great excitement. Michael Geary as captain excepted the shield from Roscommon & District Youth League Committee Member Liam Clogher. He thanked the team and management for all their work and thanked Skyvalley for a good game.
